The faultless operation of energy infrastructure devices requires their monitoring and periodic inventories. The data obtained through the method of laser scanning with the proper density of sampling guarantee that exact information on the geometry of poles, transmission lines and other elements of infrastructure as well as objects located in the immediate vicinity is obtained. If it is used in combination with the data obtained through photogrammetric and thermal methods, it can be a basis for decision-making processes in the diagnosis of networks.
